Fine Wines for Alcoholic Times

The DogsHead vineyard is situated on the idyllic Karkalla property overlooking the National Park which lines the South Western Coast of Victoria’s magnificent Mornington Peninsula. Its maritime location and sandy, calcareous soils, underpinned by extensive limestone reefs, distinguish DogsHead Wine from all other wine growing areas on the Peninsula. The result is a Pinot Noir of unique regional character

Here at Dogshead, superlatives roll in majestically as does the prevailing South Westerly Ocean Weather. Sumptuous sea-side conditions are naturally channeled by the sensuous undulating terrain with the delightful consequence that meticulously hand-cultivated vegetation (called Vines) form magically into precise, convenient rows. Furthermore, red fruity bits (known as Grapes) spring forth every year in abundance. Ripe for the picking, they are lovingly collected into large tubs and trodden on vigorously by spirited locals (with large tubs) who are more than willing to descend into a vast vat of very fine wine [ SEE Winemaking Instructions ].

but don’t just take our words for it...

here are more words from respected partakers of our grape…

"This Wine is awfully Australian ...and I do mean awful"
Germaine Grier Intellectual Wine Drinker

"Can't get enough of it ...and I do mean enuf .f..of... (hic) "
Joe Blow not-so-intellectual local drinker

"someone else will say something here. and I do mean here"
A Person who says something

so how do you wrap your hands around a bottle (or box) of Dogshead Pinot Noir?

The good news is that Dogshead offers FREE HOME DELIVERY* throughout the Mornington Peninsula and Melbourne SE and CBD (*excludes various regions that we just won’t venture into). Our sleek fleet of boot-legging vehicles make regular lightning runs up and down the Frankston Freeway (*generally not stopping in Frankston), and come summer, we even offer a shore-to-ship smuggling-run to Point Nepean Heads and Port Phillip Bay shipping channel (which mercifully avoids import duty and navigation radar). * please note our preference to (and subsequent font size of) the good'ol telephone over email (as a reliable method of contact). In this, the age of virtual-commerce, we at dogshead encourage ACTUAL chat and the slap of cash in a hearty handshake (with no questioned asked). you can still send an email to the above address if you really must. we do appreciate that these days most folk take email for granted. please just remember, we're very busy stomp'n on grapes and hardly have the time to string a couple of aligator clips up onto the local bigpond telegraph pole and therefore probably won't get your message for an indetermined period, so, if you want efficient, immediate service, best you just pick up the phone and dial the above number. incidently, we're trialing a piece of software that converts email messages into mobile-phone allerts, so it might be that soon you will be able to send email with no fear of no response
